Miami Vice Confidential
Privacy Policy
Effective and last reviewed: October 19, 2026
Miami Vice Confidential is a Miami travel and local-guide blog. This policy covers this website and the information you send us—not the booking websites you visit through our links.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter: your email address, signup source, and submission time to maintain the Confidential Thursday Drop list and send newsletter messages and signup confirmations when email delivery is available.
- Circle applications: your name, email, plans, budget range, and submission time to assess your application and contact you. We keep private review notes, status, reviewer information, and review history. Applying does not enroll you in the newsletter.
- Sponsor inquiries: the contact and business details, package choice, and message you provide so we can respond and discuss a sponsorship.
- Technical information: hosting and security services receive information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and visited pages. We use a hashed request identifier and submission timestamps to limit spam. Hosting analytics may process usage information to measure traffic and maintain the site.
- Correspondence: messages you send to our contact email so we can answer questions or handle privacy requests.
We do not collect payment-card details through these forms. There is no active paid newsletter checkout or paid Circle product.
Cookies, storage, and external services
Hosting services may use cookies or similar technology for security and basic operation. We have not added a dedicated advertising-tracking or referral-cookie system to this site. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect some services.
Booking.com, Viator, and GetYourGuide may set cookies on their own websites to remember preferences, measure activity, or track referrals. Our links currently have no active affiliate tracking. If affiliate tracking is enabled, those partners may use cookies to attribute a purchase. Their privacy and cookie policies apply after you leave our site.
Fonts load from Google Fonts, and photographs are served through our asset-hosting service. Those services receive the technical information needed to deliver these files. Sharing through a social platform is subject to that platform’s own policy.
Who receives information
- Lovable Cloud and hosting providers: store form submissions and support website delivery, security, and traffic measurement. Visitor submissions are not publicly accessible.
- Resend: receives a subscriber’s email address and email content to send welcome messages and newsletter emails when configured. Its temporary testing sender is restricted; signing up does not guarantee immediate email delivery.
- Booking.com, Viator, and GetYourGuide: receive information when you visit their sites or book with them, not our newsletter list or Circle applications.
We do not sell your submitted email address or application details to booking partners or sponsors. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the site, or to service providers working on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter information while you remain subscribed, and inquiry and application information while it is needed to handle your request, maintain review records, or meet legal obligations. We remove information that is no longer needed. Limited suppression records may be retained so we do not email you after an opt-out. Backup copies may take longer to expire.
We restrict access and use service-provider security protections, but no online storage or email system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid including payment information or sensitive personal details in your application.
Your choices and Florida privacy requests
You can unsubscribe using an unsubscribe link when provided, or email shadevarnick9@gmail.com to stop newsletter messages. You can also request access to the personal information you submitted, correct it, obtain a copy, or ask us to delete it. Florida residents are welcome to make these requests regardless of whether a particular state privacy statute applies to this small blog.
Use the subject “Privacy request” and describe what you need. We may verify that you control the relevant email address before releasing or deleting records; do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed. Some records may need to be kept for security, legal obligations, or an unresolved transaction. We will explain any refusal and how to ask us to reconsider by replying to the same contact.
Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights applies only to businesses meeting its statutory thresholds; this policy does not claim that Miami Vice Confidential meets those thresholds. Where applicable law grants additional rights—including consent withdrawal, opt-outs, or an appeal—we will honor them as required. We do not currently conduct targeted advertising or sell personal data.
Children and international visitors
This site and its forms are not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit a child’s personal information. Contact us if you believe we have collected it so we can investigate and remove it. Service providers may process data in the United States and other countries with different privacy laws.
Policy updates and contact
This policy is reviewed and updated at least annually, and sooner when our practices or applicable Florida law change. We publish the current review date at the top and provide notice of material changes where required.
